Location: Padua, Veneto

Just a few meters from the tram stop, the property is situated in a strategic location, perfectly connected to public transport and the city’s main roads. The Fornace Morandi was built in 1898 between the railway and the Brenta River, in the area between Strada delle Boschette and the eastern boundary of the Morandi estate. The Morandi family also purchased and built several houses in the area for their workers, creating what became known as the "Villaggio Morandi." The family's manor house was also built along Via Fornace Morandi. This unified concept of the site was later disrupted by the construction of the Serenissima highway and the northern ring road, which separated the production facility from many of the surrounding buildings. Over time, the furnace underwent several changes due to updates in production processes, until operations ceased in 1981. After a long period of abandonment, the building suffered significant damage. Since 2008, it has been undergoing restoration with the aim of repurposing it for commercial and office use. The south and west façades, the chimney, and the kiln have been preserved. Today, it is considered a rare example of industrial archaeology in Padua.
