Lake Iseo
Located in Lombardy, just north of Brescia and Bergamo, the Lake Iseo region is the hidden gem of Northern Italy. Known for its stunning landscapes, breathtaking views, excellent climate, as well as art, history, fine wines, and great cuisine, it is considered the most romantic lake in Northern Italy and offers spectacular sunsets that create unforgettable memories.
Among the most charming lakeside towns are Sarnico, Iseo, Lovere, Sulzano, and Pisogne, each blessed with its own special charm and uniquely Italian beauty. A short ferry ride allows you to visit Monte Isola, the largest lake island in Europe, renowned for its beauty and tranquility.
For ski and winter sports enthusiasts, the Alps are just an hour away—especially Ponte di Legno, the queen of Val Camonica. In 2018, Val Camonica became the first Italian site to be recognized by UNESCO.
The Franciacorta region, located on the southern side of the lake, is famous as the “land of Italian Champagne,” surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills.
Lifestyle
Lake Iseo is in a strategic position in Northern Italy, both commercially and culturally. Within an hour’s drive, you can reach Lake Garda, Lake Como, the Dolomites, the Alps, and the Sirmione thermal baths. Cities of art like Verona, Venice, Milan, and Florence are easily accessible. For beach lovers, Lido di Jesolo and the Ligurian coast are under three hours away.
This entire area is also well connected to major roads and railway lines. The region is served by four international airports: 30 minutes from Orio al Serio International Airport (Bergamo), 1 hour from Linate Airport (Milan) and Verona’s Valerio Catullo Airport, and 1 hour and 20 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport.
Monte Isola, a pedestrian-only island and often a source of inspiration for renowned artists, is the largest lake island in Southern Europe and one of the top destinations in Europe.
An additional advantage of our area is the presence of excellent schools, universities, healthcare facilities, and commercial centers. Art and cultural tourism are dominant here, and the region is rich in historical and cultural landmarks.
