Christian Völkers

Christian Völkers is the Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Engel & Völkers AG. He set up the Hamburg-based company in 1977 with his friend and business partner Dirk Engel and has since developed Engel & Völkers into a global brand. Before entering the real estate industry, he trained as a maritime shipping administrator and studied Business Administration in Toronto, New York and Barcelona. Christian Völkers wrote the Engel & Völkers Manual, which forms the foundation stone for the company’s worldwide franchise system and real estate Academy. In 1988, he founded an in-house publishing company known as “Grund Genug Verlag” and began producing the lifestyle and luxury magazine “GG”. As a visionary and entrepreneur, Christian Völkers is always working on the enhancement of the company’s service offer relating to all aspects of real estate. At present he is focused on business concepts for Engel & Völkers Venture Management GmbH.

Sven Odia

Sven Odia began his career at Engel & Völkers in 1997. After completing his training as a real estate agent, he became an independent Licence Partner at the age of 22 and set up the very first real estate shop on Majorca, in Port d’Andratx. In 2006, Sven Odia was appointed to the Management Board of Engel & Völkers AG, and between 2006 and 2014 he played a key role in the international expansion of the Group. Between 2014 and 2020, he undertook joint management of the company as Co-CEO, together with Christian Völkers. In this role he was responsible for all operational business including global expansion, the opening and management of the Market Centers, and digital transformation. Sven Odia has been the sole CEO of Engel & Völkers AG since August 2020.
Kai Enders

Kai Enders

Kai Enders has been a Member of the Board of Engel & Völkers AG since 2010. He is responsible for business operations in the Residential and Commercial divisions and for brokering real estate loans in the DACH region. Kai Enders has been a Member of the Board of the German Franchise Association since 2013 and has been its President since 2016. In 2019, he joined the board of the “BVFI”, the German Federal Association for the Real Estate Industry. Before starting his career at Engel & Völkers, the business economist held various management positions at Daimler AG.

Thilo Von Trotha

Thilo von Trotha has been Chief Financial Officer of Engel & Völkers AG since 2002. In this role he is responsible for the Finance division, which encompasses Corporate Finance & MA, Accounting & Taxes and Controlling, as well as for the Legal and Human Resources departments. Prior to Engel & Völkers, he worked for the management consultancy firm McKinsey & Company before becoming CFO of PropertyGate.com AG. Thilo von Trotha completed his degree in Business Economics in Bonn and Berlin and went on to gain a Master’s Degree in Management at the London School of Economics.

Paloma Pérez Bravo

Paloma Pérez Bravo was appointed to the Management Board of Engel & Völkers AG as Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Since then, she has been responsible for all operative franchise and Market Center business in the EMEA region, with the exception of the DACH region, and continues to focus on the ongoing expansion of the brand. Previously, she managed the Engel & Völkers Market Center Madrid and, as Managing Director of EV MMC Lizenz GmbH, headed up the strategic drive to grow the international Market Center operations of Engel & Völkers AG. Paloma Pérez Bravo studied Telecommunications Engineering, and subsequently completed a Master of Business Administration at IEDE, Postgraduate in General Management at IESE and Postgraduate in Leadership at Harvard Business School. Prior to joining Engel & Völkers, Paloma Pérez Bravo held various management positions, including EMEA VP Sales and Operations at Best Doctors and COO at Pelayo Insurance.
