Cuneo e Provincia: Location and surroundings of this property

The Stura Valley is a border valley, marked throughout by the river of the same name.

The valley is crossed throughout its territory by the Stura river, which gushes out of Lake Maddalena at an altitude of almost 2000 metres, runs impetuously through the Olla gorges and separates the Maritime Alps from the Cottian Alps.

Here, nature is still unspoilt, with corners and glimpses of landscape that have remained firm in time. But the real charm of the valley lies in its ancient alpine houses, in the way they were built and adapted to the conditions of the terrain: with stone walls and thatched roofs, to resist the passage of time, cold winters and sunny summers.

The Stura Valley, partly included in the Maritime Alps Park, is ideal for those who love hiking in the mountains, sporting activities such as mountaineering and rock climbing: there are endless possibilities both along the main axis of the valley and in the side valleys of Arma, Bagni di Vinadio and Sant'Anna. It is also possible to go fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, while those who love winter sports can dedicate themselves to Nordic skiing or downhill skiing.

How to get there:
Arriving from the A6 Turin-Savona motorway, exit at the Cuneo tollgate and continue to Borgo San Dalmazzo, where the valley begins, in the direction of Demonte and Vinadio.
