Vall de March Approximately 5 kilometres west of the town of Pollensa, within the Serra de Tramuntana itself, leaving behind the secondary road C-710 that connects Pollensa with the municipality of Escorca, a small path leads into a dense Mediterranean forest. This path is flanked by the imposing slopes of the island’s second-highest peak, Puig Tomir, rising to 1,102 metres above sea level. Here lies one of the most beautiful and historically rich valleys of rural Mallorca: the Vall de’n March. Within this fertile valley, some of Pollensa’s most emblematic possessions were built—many of which have endured to this day, preserving their purest character—such as Cal Herevet, Fertaritx and Can Melcion. The area is also dotted with former mills and olive presses, carefully restored and transformed into dream homes: tranquil fincas with swimming pools, surrounded by expansive plots of land and immersed in unspoilt nature and a deeply soothing sense of calm. This is a deep valley of striking contrasts and panoramic views, characterised by dense oak forests, small flocks of sheep and native wild goats known locally as bocs, whose males are distinguished by their impressive horns and are often gentle and curious. During the wetter seasons, waterfalls cascade down the mountainsides, adding exceptional beauty to the landscape and forming streams that eventually flow into the sea, just a 15-minute drive away. Here, tranquillity and natural beauty take centre stage, which is why the Vall de March is chosen by many as a place for temporary or holiday residence.
