Ubicació: Nebbiuno, Piemont
The village of Nebbiuno lies in the Province of Novara, within the strip of Piedmontese land that borders Lake Maggiore. Set in a hilly area rich in vegetation, this small town offers both tranquility and proximity to services and the main lakeside towns, first and foremost Arona. An important tourist center, well connected to the main motorway routes, close to Malpensa and 60 km from Milan, Arona stands on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore. A town with a rich history, Arona was for a long time in the hands of the wealthy and powerful Borromeo family: Saint Charles Borromeo was in fact born here, in the castle, in 1538. The town is home to many churches and squares, among which the church of the Holy Martyrs (SS. Martiri), with its 15th-century frescoes of the Leonardesque school, and the Collegiate Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary are certainly worth remembering. Moving on to the medieval heart of the town, we discover Piazza del Popolo, with its old-world houses and the pier, on which a small lighthouse stands, a favorite spot for tourists. However, the most important and fascinating monument in Arona is undoubtedly the colossal statue of St. Charles Borromeo, which, at about 35 meters high, ranks second among the tallest statues in the world, surpassed only by the Statue of Liberty. Arona also offers various activities for tourists: a historic center full of shops and restaurants, a lovely lakeside promenade for walking, and lidos and small beaches where you can spend warm summer days. In this wonderful historical and natural setting you can find houses for sale Lake Maggiore
