The location is magnificent, Aguiño is a parish in the municipality of Ribeira, in southern Galicia, known for its beaches, fishing port, and natural wealth, such as the Natural Park of the Dunes of Corrubedo and the Sálvora Archipelago, which include phenomena like the Phoenician Wharf and viewpoints with views of the Atlantic Islands. The beaches of O Castro and A Catía together form a beautiful sheltered sandy area and urban environment with 1.25 km of white fine sand in the core of Aguiño, south of Ribeira, and on the inner side of the Ría de Arousa. Its waters are usually calm and suitable for swimming. The area is highly recommended for practicing spearfishing, rod fishing, or windsurfing. There is a walkway of just over 2 km that runs largely on a wooden boardwalk parallel to the beaches of Areeiros, O Castro, and O Carreiro. The communication from Santiago de Compostela to Ribeira and Aguiño is via the AP-9 and AG-11, which are 68 km that take about 50 minutes to travel.
