The Argüelles neighborhood was born during the Extension period and is a magnificent example of bourgeois Madrid. It is an ideal place to live, given its fairly central location, its green surroundings facing the Parque del Oeste and the Parque de la Montaña (where the Egyptian temple of Debod is located), and the presence of numerous shops, leisure areas, bars, and restaurants with their attractive terraces. Its streets host the largest number of original version cinemas in the city, in addition to having seen several important figures of Spanish cinema pass by its particular Walk of Fame.
