Charming T2 in Principe Real

The Parish of Santo António results from the merger of three Lisbon parishes: S. José, Coração de Jesus and São Mamede. Bearing a name in honor of Lisbon’s patron saint, the parish seeks to preserve the past and create new stories in the capital; to include all people and businesses in community life; to enhance and safeguard emblematic places; to be an example of innovation; and to attract young people and entrepreneurs to this place right in the heart of Lisbon. The Barata Salgueiro Neighborhood, the Camões Neighborhood (inaugurated in 1880 on the tricentennial of the death of the poet Luís de Camões), the Diário de Notícias building, the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the “Franjinhas” Building reveal the area’s urban development dynamism. The parish includes the renowned Avenida da Liberdade, inaugurated at the end of the 19th century; the “Passeio Público” was created in the style of the great European boulevards of the time. A prime area of the city where, both to its left and to its right, we find grand manor houses that represented the area’s wealth and excellence. Until the end of the 20th century, this area favored the establishment of large service companies, but since the early 2000s there has been a growing presence of major international brands and property rehabilitation geared toward the luxury residential market.
