Dioni is an area on the borders of the former community of Pikermi in Attica and now the municipality of Rafina-Pikermi. It is one of the emerging areas of Mesogeia, with significant construction activity. It is a purely residential area consisting mainly of detached houses and maisonettes, as the construction of apartment buildings is prohibited. It borders Pikermi, Drafi, and Kallitechnoupoli. In very close proximity to the settlement, there are modern sports facilities of Pikermi, as well as a local bus that serves short distances. The distance from the settlement to the center of Pikermi is about 3 minutes by car and 10 minutes to Pallini, where the suburban railway station to Athens or to the International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos is located. The entrance to the Attiki Odos is 5 km away, next to which we find one of the largest shopping centers of Attica, McArthurGlen, which attracts and serves people from many areas of the basin. Dioni is in a key location and in close proximity to the second largest port of Attica, which is Rafina.
