Christian Kretzmann

Christian Kretzmann is Managing Partner of Engel & Völkers Mittleres Ruhrgebiet GmbH. Together with his wife and Co-Managing Partner Clara Kretzmann, he is responsible for the company’s strategic development and commercial management. While Clara Kretzmann oversees operational leadership and team management in the support of private clients, Christian Kretzmann focuses on strategy, finance and the advisory of commercial clients, including developers, project developers and institutional investors.

Following the acquisition of the locations in 2022, the company was structurally reorganised, professionalised and positioned for long-term sustainability. In the years that followed, a targeted regional expansion was implemented. In autumn 2025, the previously independent locations were organisationally consolidated under the Engel & Völkers Mittleres Ruhrgebiet brand. Further acquisitions in the western Ruhr region and the Lower Rhine are planned for the first quarter of 2026.

As an economist and legal professional, Christian Kretzmann possesses in-depth expertise in the areas of financing, taxation and law. After studying business administration in Cologne and Boston, he completed a doctorate in economics at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. He subsequently pursued legal studies in Münster, specialising in real estate tax law. This interdisciplinary background forms the basis of his structured and analytical approach to complex real estate and investment-related matters.

Christian Kretzmann’s engagement with residential and investment properties developed early through his own construction and investment projects. Today, he supports clients throughout the entire transaction process, integrating economic, legal and strategic perspectives.
