Description

Castle Libnitz- unique, interesting. 600 meters from the Breetz Bodden, you will find this gem of a very special kind. Built in 1912 in the style of objectivity by the Freemason Fritz Alfred Meyer, the castle presents itself completely renovated in red brick. In addition to a magnificent vestibule, ballroom with orchestra gallery and marble columns, tower room, vaulted wine cellar, to name just a few details, this object has everything that makes a castle. Remarkable are the still very well preserved original interiors, especially the staircase with its painted beamed ceiling, the chandelier and the stained glass windows. During an extensive renovation from 2001 to 2003, 13 apartments were created in addition to a large comfortable wellness area and equipped with their own kitchens and bathrooms. Thus, a use as a classic vacation rental would also be conceivable. From th generous balcony one looks into the well-kept castle garden and can guess the mausoleum of the Meyer-Sarnow family in the rear part. This is built in neoclassical style with a lot of marble and a fascinating skylight. Not only the logo of the Freemasons displayed here suggests an exciting story behind the castle and its builder.
