During the long Easter weekend, the seaside resort of Travemünde transforms into "Ostermünde" and invites the whole family to a colorful festival. In Brügmanngarten, visitors can enjoy a diverse program featuring live music, culinary delights, and a children's play paradise. A special highlight is the large Easter bonfire on the beach with a sea view, which is lit on Saturday evening. On Easter Sunday, the Giant Easter Egg Parade takes place, followed by an Easter egg hunt for children.
Kite Flying Days in Büsum
Büsum kicks off the new season with the Kite Flying Days. On April 19 and 20, 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM, colorful kites will take to the skies over the Watt’n Island, creating a spectacular display for the whole family. In addition to the impressive flying objects, there will be numerous interactive activities for both children and adults.

Pellworm Easter Days
Easter on Pellworm means blooming daffodils, fresh sea air, and relaxing walks along the dikes. As the island awakens from its winter slumber, the traditional Easter bonfire on the beach and the cheerful Easter egg hunt invite visitors to celebrate. On April 20, starting at 11:30 AM, the beach turns into a treasure trove! At the Easter Digging event near the Maritim Pier, children can use shovels and their hands to search for hidden Easter eggs. A fun-filled Easter adventure right by the sea – perfect for little explorers!

Easter Bonfires: A Classic in Schleswig-Holstein
The Easter bonfire has a long tradition in Schleswig-Holstein and symbolizes the victory of light over darkness. In many villages and towns, fires are lit, providing an opportunity for social gatherings. Here are a few places with particularly impressive Easter bonfires:
• Ratzeburg: On April 19, from 5 PM to 9 PM, the city, together with local clubs and volunteers, hosts a large Easter bonfire in Kurpark. Enjoy the warming fire, hearty and sweet treats, as well as hot and cold drinks in a cozy atmosphere.
• St. Peter-Ording: With the breathtaking backdrop of the setting sun by the dike, the Easter bonfire is lit on Easter Saturday at 7:30 PM. After the traditional fire speech and live music, the spectacle begins – an unforgettable experience with a view of the sea!
• Heiligenhafen: Here, the Easter bonfire is combined with a grand Easter celebration! Starting at 2 PM, a children's paradise opens on the beach near the Erlebnis-Seebrücke, before festivities continue from 6 PM on the Drachenwiese. Live music, delicious food, and an impressive bonfire make this evening special.
