Take a dip in the water parks

Torrevieja is home to two of the best water parks on the Costa Blanca: Aquopolis Torrevieja and Aqua Park Flamingo Torrevieja. Both offer fun water rides and slides, chill out areas and ample opportunities for both children and parents to have fun.

The La Bocana Water Sports Centre offers facilities for the little ones to enjoy and learn how to practice water skiing, flyboarding, coasteering, snorkelling, kayaking, paddle surfing and wakeboard.

Wonder of the museum

The Dolphin S-61 was the first submarine of the Spanish Armada and is now a floating museum in the port of Torrevieja. Children can take a tour of the submarine, having the opportunity to understand its interiors and how it would have felt to live and work on one. The patrol boat Albatros III, together with the submarine, is also a museum. Together, they form part of the Sea and Salt Museum of Torrevieja.

Playing on the beaches

Torrevieja has many beautiful beaches, such as the Playa del Cura and the Playa de la Mata. Children will be delighted to spend a whole day splashing in the waves, building sand castles, enjoying the water sports activities or strolling along the promenades and discovering the delights of ice cream at the various kiosks.

Horse riding

The horse riding is a stimulating activity, and children can take their first steps in this joyful sport at the Villasalada Equestrian Centre which offers classes for children aged 6 and upwards.

Explore the parks

Torrevieja boasts beautiful nature reserves such as the La Mata-Torrevieja Nature Reserve. This park has picturesque walks and parks which are ideal for enjoying family time, having a picnic, taking part in outdoor games or cycling with the children. The reserve also has fascinating salt lakes one of them is green and the other is an unusual pink colour, which capture the attention of curious little ones.

The Molino del Agua Park, between the salt pans and next to the coast, is a waterfront nature reserve with a water mill and beautiful walks between dunes and pine trees that are a great place for the little ones to run, play and explore.

Some of the nature parks, such as the Park of the Nations even have playgrounds, play areas with slides, swings, plus power boating options on the lake. Other favourite parks for children are the Constitution Square and the Doña Sinforosa Park and the Aromatic Park.
