Thanks to its stunning natural landscape, Torrevieja has several parks that are ideal for relaxing, walking or enjoying nature. Below, we recommend some of the most outstanding ones:

Garden of Nations

Located in the Ronda Cesar Canovas Girada, the Garden of the Nations is a beautiful public park with a lake where ducks and geese swim freely. The park is a perfect space to take a stroll, ride a bike or enjoy a picnic with the family. It is ideal for those looking for a quiet place to relax.

Aromatic Park

This park is located at Torreblanca Av and is a perfect place to enjoy nature in its purest state. With paved paths and a great variety of trees, aromatic herbs and flowers, the Aromatic Park offers a peaceful atmosphere ideal for strolling and relaxing.

Doña Sinforosa Park

The Doña Sinforosa Park is located in the Doña Sinforosa Street and has gardens in the classical style of the 18th century. This walled park has cobbled paths, a bandstand and a fountain in the centre. It is a perfect place to spend a quiet afternoon and enjoy live concerts during certain times of the year.

Salt Lagoons

Torrevieja is famous for its impressive salt lagoons, which have played a fundamental role in the history of the city, especially in the salt industry. Here are the most outstanding lagoons:

Laguna de Torrevieja (Laguna Rosa de Torrevieja)

The Pink Lagoon is one of the main natural attractions of the city. This salt lake stands out for its peculiar pink colour, which is due to the micro-organisms that live in its waters. The air surrounding the lagoon is said to be very healthy due to the high concentration of salt. The surroundings of the lagoon are perfect for taking pictures and enjoying nature.

  • Entrance: free of charge (swimming in the water is not allowed)

La Mata Lagoon

La Mata Lagoon is another of the salt lakes near Torrevieja. Surrounded by the Natural Park of Torrevieja and La Mata, this lagoon has more greenish waters and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can walk along the nature trails that border the lagoon and observe the rich biodiversity.

Water Parks

Torrevieja is also known for its excellent water parks, perfect for all the family. Here we recommend the two main ones:

Aquopolis Torrevieja

The Aquopolis Torrevieja is the largest water park in the city, offering a wide variety of slides, pools and water activities for all ages. It is the ideal place to enjoy a day out with family or friends in the sun.

  • Price: 19,90 (adults); discounts available for children under 140 cm.

Aquapark Flamingo

The Aquapark Flamingo is a smaller but equally attractive water park with several rides and slides to enjoy. Its festive and relaxed atmosphere makes it an excellent choice for a day out.

  • Price: 14 € (adults); 12 € (children from 4 to 12 years old)

Museums

Discover the rich and colourful history of Torrevieja.

S-61 Dolphin Submarine Floating Museum

The S-61 Delfin is a submarine of the Daphne given by the Spanish Army to the Torrevieja Council as a symbol of peace, culture and community togetherness. Symbolising Torrevieja's marine connections with the Spanish Army, it has become the first floating museum in Spain. It offers visitors a unique experience inside a submarine vessel and the opportunity to discover how the crew lived. (Included in the price you can also visit the floating museum Patrol boat Albatros III).

Sea and Salt Museum

Making the most of Torrevieja's history, the Sea and Salt Museum allows visitors to learn about the roots of the town's mining and fishing activity. It has a large exhibition of crafts made of salt, a collection of photographs of the past, model boats, old fishing and sailing articles, as well as a large diorama of the Torrevieja sailing ship "Pascual Flores" the last of the old Torrevieja coastal fleet.

Torrevieja Natural History Museum

A really fun and interesting adventure for children and, no doubt, for the rest of the family. Exhibits include fishing and boating, flora and fauna, whale skeletons and reproductions of dolphins, turtles, local birds, marine molluscs, corals, as well as scale models of Torrevieja's ancient marine area.

The Print Shop in Torrevieja

A collection of antiques, machinery, printing and wonderful books that will take you on a journey to the Torrevieja of the 19th and early 20th century. This private collection is the inspiration for Aráez Miguel Suárez who, if you are lucky, will guide you through his large collection.

Shopping Centres

La Zenia Boulevard Shopping Centre

Located in Orihuela Costa, just a few minutes drive from Torrevieja, it is the largest shopping centre in the whole province of Alicante. The shopping centre La Zenia Boulevard has around 150 shops, ranging from brand name boutiques to restaurants, bars and cafes. It offers activities and entertainment almost every weekend, and even has a children's paradise area where they can play while you shop.

Marina Niki

This large restaurant and nightclub is located near the marina of Torrevieja. It is an open-air venue where you can dine, dance, enjoy shows and relax in the fresh sea breeze. It also has an outdoor swimming pool and lounge.

Beaches

Torrevieja is not only known for its natural parks and nightlife, but also for its beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters. Here are some of the most outstanding ones:

Playa del Cura

The most popular beach in Torrevieja, Playa del Cura is located in the centre of the city. This place has a renovated promenade, surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. It is ideal for enjoying a day in the sun and swimming in the Mediterranean waters.

La Mata Beach

Only 5 kilometres from Torrevieja, La Mata Beach is a long stretch of fine sand and calm waters. Visitors can enjoy the sea breeze while relaxing on the sun loungers and enjoying a drink in the nearby bars.

Punta Prima Beach

La Punta Prima Beach located on the border between Orihuela and Torrevieja, is a quieter and less crowded beach. The beach is surrounded by a cliff, which can be accessed via a lift for stunning panoramic views.

Train Tours

Torrevieja Tourist Train

The Torrevieja Tourist Train is a fun and picturesque way to tour the town. The train has an antique design, similar to a steam train, and runs every half hour around the main tourist attractions of the city.

Opening hours: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.

Price: 4 € (adults); 3 € (pensioners); 2 € (children 12 and over)

Trainvision Torrevieja

Trainvision Torrevieja offers guided train tours along different routes, such as the coastal route and the salt lagoon route. Passengers can get off the train at various points to take photos and enjoy the city.

Opening hours: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (every day, except Wednesdays)
