Schwendt is located in the beautiful Kaiserwinkl region in Tyrol, at the foothills of the Wilder Kaiser, at about 700 m above sea level.

In summer, the magnificent scenery can be explored on foot on extensive hikes or by bike on the wide network of routes. Swimming, surfing or sailing on nearby Lake Walchsee add variety to leisure and recreation. Golf, rafting and hang-gliding further expand the range of activities.

The Kaiserwinkl cross-country ski trails have been awarded the “Tyrolean Cross-Country Ski Trail Quality Seal.” Perfectly groomed ski slopes make winter sports in Kaiserwinkl a true winter pleasure. The Bavarian town of Reit im Winkl can be reached by car in about 15 minutes, and Kitzbühel in about 30 minutes.

The international airports of Munich and Innsbruck can each be reached in about 1.5 hours, Salzburg in about 1 hour.
