Location: Friedrichshain, Berlin

In the early 1950s, a magnificent residential ensemble was built along Frankfurter Allee, which runs east–west. Erected at the time by architect Hanns Hopp in the style of Socialist Classicism, the buildings remain significant examples of Berlin’s post-war architecture. In his design, Hopp drew on classical rules of proportion and Baroque palace architecture, reflected in colonnades, balustrades, columned arcades, arched stairways, sculptural decoration, cornices, porticos and ornamented window parapets. The apartment offered here is located at the eastern end of the avenue, which was conceived as a grand boulevard. Thanks to the proximity to Boxhagener Platz, Simon-Dach-Straße and facilities such as the State Library, kindergarten and school, you are right in the midst of lively neighborhood life: restaurants from fast food to fine dining, bars and popular clubs offer something for every taste. On Boxhagener Platz itself, a well-known and popular flea and weekly market takes place every Saturday, with fresh regional produce, vintage treasures and handicrafts. The Frankfurter Tor subway station is right on the doorstep and takes you to Alexanderplatz in just a few minutes. From the nearby Warschauer Straße S- and U-Bahn station, you can also reach many other destinations in the city. In addition, there are excellent connections in all directions via tram and bus stops in the immediate vicinity.
