A history rich in tradition characterizes the „Weisse Rössl“ in Gries am Brenner. First mentioned in 1455, the house served as a post and horse-drawn carriage station and is accordingly cited in the history books.
Thus, the traditional inn combines a meal with a journey through time about the north-south connection from Austria to Italy. The three parlors on the ground floor have been lovingly and professionally renovated and redesigned.
Via the great arcaded entrance with the original entrance door, you enter the listed Prachensky Stube (Wilhelm Prachensky Tyrolean architect and painter 1898 - 1956) with perfectly preserved paneling and place settings in their original condition.
The dining room was refined with a fireplace and paintings by Ty- rolean artists, so you dine here like in a time travel 100 ye- ars ago. Behind it is another parlor with an exit to the sun terrace.
Opposite the entrance area with stairs to the upper floors is
the „Flora Saal“ (Paul Flora 1922 Glurns South Tyrol-2009
Innsbruck North Tyrol, artist, graphic artist, and writer).
This large guest room with bar has a mural by Flora from 1955 depicting travelers and retreaters from the Rössl. A true masterpiece, also well preserved
and restored.
Behind the guest rooms are the kitchen and workrooms of the house, also newly adapted. Newly designed modern guest WC‘s are located at the back of the entrée.
The staircase (partly original condition) leads to the I. and II. Upper floor with its rooms. A highlight is the open room with cei- ling paintings of the Annunciation and frescoes from the 18th century.

Innsbruck (countryside): Location and surroundings of this property

The Tyrolean Wipptal with its communities and side valleys can relate to an old tradition in connection with travelers over the Brenner Pass.
This includes the charming hotel and traditional inn „Weisses Rössl“ located on the Brenner road. Since 1455 the house has been serving its traveling guests, in the past on foot and in carriages, today the transit and vacation travelers between Austria and Italy. The location, next to the beautiful baroque village church is also ideal for festivities such as weddings and baptisms.
The building, which has been lovingly maintained, is a place to linger and enjoy. The listed parlors are unique in Tyrol and give the (art) break that certain something. The house is generously designed and offers space for guests in more than 30 newly adapted rooms with bathrooms en suite. Three apartments have
also been newly built and are available for rent or own use. The restaurant and bar operation can be coupled with the hotel operation, as well as run alone. Until recently, the restaurant was leased and many of the rooms are currently rented.
Parking is available in front of the house and additional parking could be created on the left side of the house. When the weather is nice, guests can enjoy the wonderful views of the surrounding meadow slopes on the sun terrace facing south.
This jewel is waiting for a new owner who understands the uniqueness of this house and knows how to use it. Alone the a tist‘s rooms on the ground floor and the ceiling painting on the upper floor are known far beyond the country‘s borders. And
with a fine glass of wine and a Tyrolean delicacy, you can enjoy twice as much!

6. Es gilt österreichisches Recht, Gerichtsstand ist Innsbruck.
