What you should know about this villa

Amenities and special features of this villa

This wonderful residence is located in Via Michele Bianchi, in the San Vincenzo area, just above the old pier of Ficogrande and a short walk from the main square.
The area in which Casa Carlotta is located and the large garden around the property make it an oasis of tranquillity and privacy, just a few minutes from the sea.
The architectural style is typical of the Aeolian islands, made up of cubic, linear shapes and colours that blend harmoniously with the landscape, such as the white of the plaster and the cobalt blue of the doors and windows, the high ceilings and the large, airy rooms.
The property is comfortably arranged on one level, and the highlights of the property are certainly the double furnished patio and the large garden.
These large terraces are partly uncovered and partly covered by the so-called 'bagghiu', a pergola of reeds on wooden beams, resting on cylindrical pillars, the typical 'pulera' and enriched by a raised stone step decorated with Aeolian tiles, which acts as a seat around the perimeter of the terrace. And a plot of over seven hundred square metres make Casa Carlotta the ideal place to relax surrounded by the island's lush greenery and with absolute privacy.
The marvellous garden overlooks Stromboli on one side, whose imposing figure can be clearly seen in the distance, and the sea on the other, with a beautiful view of the famous Strombolicchio, the oldest volcanic cone of Stromboli, now exhausted, which now houses a solar-powered lighthouse.
Internally, the villa consists of a spacious eat-in kitchen, three large bedrooms, each with its own attached bathroom, and two technical rooms for various needs.
Due to the size and layout of the rooms, the villa can comfortably accommodate up to 9 people.
The excellent condition makes it immediately habitable and an excellent solution in the event that one wishes to purchase it for investment use.

Aeolian Islands: Location and surroundings of this property

Stromboli is the most northerly of the Aeolian Islands, close to the Sicilian Tyrrhenian coast. It is just over an hour's boat ride from Milazzo, two from Messina, which is its provincial capital, and during the summer season it is also well connected to the ports of Naples, Tropea, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Capo d'Orlando, from where ferries and hydrofoils depart. Further access to the island is provided by the helicopter landing strip at Ficogrande, on the seafront.
The island covers little more than 12 square kilometres and is home to the only European volcano in permanent eruptive activity, Stromboli, also known as 'Iddu', which for its incredible and evocative paroxysms along the so-called Sciara del Fuoco, earned the island the nickname of 'Lighthouse of the Tyrrhenian'.
Stromboli has a population of little more than 400 inhabitants. The main inhabited villages are San Vincenzo with the landing place of Scari, the areas of Piscità and Ficogrande and, to the south-west, reachable only by sea, the small village of Ginostra, populated by about 30-40 inhabitants.
Just a kilometre and a half away from Stromboli is the Scoglio dello Strombolicchio, the oldest volcanic cone of Stromboli, now exhausted, which lies a few hundred metres from the mainland and is home to a solar-powered lighthouse, behind which the sun rises every morning. The area where the villa is located is San Vincenzo, just a few steps down from the island's main square, with the Church of San Vincenzo, the belvedere with a unique view of Strombolicchio and the famous Bar Ingrid. A few metres from the house are also the beaches of Punta Lena, Ficogrande and Scari, which can also be reached on foot, without having to use local transport.
