The property is located just outside the historic center of Santa Marina di Salina, in Lingua, a few kilometers from the marina. Lingua is a small and beautiful fishing village characterized by the presence of a natural brackish water lake. Here the remains of an ancient salt production plant are preserved, one of the most important testimonies of the Roman era in the Aeolian archipelago. The lake, topped by a picturesque lighthouse, is now a protected nature reserve of considerable ornithological interest. The municipality of Santa Marina rises on the slopes of the Fossa delle Felci, where an enormous crater covered by vegetation consisting mainly of ferns is visible. In the western part of the town, at Serro dell'Acqua, it is possible to follow a path that leads through a vegetation of olive and fruit trees to the Saracen caves, dug into the tuff and hidden by thick vegetation.
Salina is a true paradise immersed in nature and surrounded by crystal-clear waters. The hills slope gently down to the sea and allow one to admire the volcano Stromboli, which rises a short distance away, separated only by a strip of water. The island is subdivided into the three municipalities of Santa Marina, Malfa and Leni, each with exceptional natural and tourist attractions. The island's main port of call is Santa Marina, where there is also a marina, while on the south-western side there is the port of call at Rinella. It is just over an hour's boat ride from Milazzo, two from Messina, which is its provincial capital, and is also well connected to the ports of Naples, Tropea, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Capo d'Orlando, from which ferries and hydrofoils depart throughout the year.
