Description
This majestic estate, a product of the ancient divisions of the Islamic alquería Beni-Taref, has deep roots in Mallorca’s rich history. After the conquest of the island in 1232 by King James I, the property was granted to the noble Pere Arnau as part of the land division. Over the centuries, Son Marron has preserved its essence and charm, becoming a true jewel of Mallorcan heritage.
The estate's lands, offer a unique natural beauty. Native wild olive and pine trees stretch across the terrain, interspersed with areas of oak trees and extensive plantations of almond, carob, fig, and other fruit trees. The remaining land is dedicated to pasture and dry farming, preserving the island's agricultural traditions.
At the heart of the estate stands the imposing main building, known as Ses Cases Velles, a rustic two-story residence that breathes history from every stone. With a total of seven bedrooms and various rooms awaiting renovation.
Every corner of this estate is a living testament to the island’s rich history. A secluded retreat where nature is experienced in its purest form, accompanied only by the song of birds and the gentle whisper of the wind.
Son Marrón is a truly unique property, full of possibilities. Whether for private use or to be transformed into an exclusive agrotourism destination, with independent dwellings and its own expansive grounds, it offers an incomparable setting for events, celebrations, and much more. The house is waiting for its new owner to renovate it.
Localisation : Lloret de Vistalegre, Îles Baléares
The small village of Lloret has about 1.200 inhabitants and is located in the centre of Mallorca. The heart of the area is set on a small plateau, which provides beautiful views. Its mills and wells stand out for their character, as well as "Sa Comuna"- a natural space for public use which consists of pine forests, where people gather to celebrate parties and other events. The most popular celebration is "Es Sequer", a tribute to the fig which is one of the most typical and abundant fruits in Lloret. One can also find fresh and dried figs, fig jam, fig ice cream, fig coca (pastry), and other dishes made with this delicious fruit. The village provides, amongst others, several grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, and a pharmacy. Lloret is located about 25 minutes away from Palma centre and the airport, and 30 minutes from the nearest beaches.
