Beschreibung
This villa is the result of the union of an ancient watchtower, dating back to the Romanesque period, which was later reused for the same military purpose in the Middle Ages and then became part of Cardinal Micara's estate, who, at the beginning of the last century, expanded it, reusing ancient columns from the Romanesque period, to create a refectory annexed to a convent.
In more recent times, a reinforced concrete structure has been built adjacent to the ancient tower, currently unfinished, which has significantly increased its size and potential for use and possible transformation.
The materials used are volcanic basalt laid in opus reticulatum and opus incertum, travertine in megalithic blocks, medieval period terracotta bricks, untreated terracotta flooring, and reinforced concrete structures for strengthening, consolidation, and expansion.
The property consists of an ancient building divided over 3 floors of about 420 sqm in total, a newly constructed structure of about 200 sqm, with the possibility of expansion, all surrounded by a wonderful park planted with olive trees, tall trees, and essences, of about 8,800 sqm.
