Dioni is an area at the boundaries of the former municipality of Pikermio, Attica and the current municipality of Rafina Pikermio. It is one of the emerging areas of Mesogeia, with significant construction activity. It is a purely residential area and consists mainly of detached houses and maisonettes. The population is estimated at around 400 families. Since 2007, the area has been supplied with water by EYDAP. It is bordered by Pikermi, Drafi and Kallitechnoupoli. In a very short distance next to the settlement there are the modern sports facilities of Pikermio. The distance from the settlement to the center of Pikermio is about 3 minutes by car and 10 minutes to Pallini where the suburban train station to Athens or to the International Airport El. Venizelos. Dioni is located in a central location and 10 km from the second largest port of Attica, which is Rafina, from where there are daily departures to the Cyclades islands.
