In the northwestern part of the area is the hill of Koufos (at the foot of the Athens Observatory) on the border with the Pentelic settlement of Agios Dimitrios. Gerakas is being built at a fast pace, after the building of the metro station Doukissis Plakentias, without losing its urban beauty.
