Description

In Massino Visconti, in a dominant position with a unique view, this villa on three levels of about 215 square meters, plus a garden of 1,500 square meters, was renovated at the end of the 90s by a prominent Architecture Studio from Milan and also contains some artworks inside. The property is designed and divided in a practical and functional way, as it is divided into two separate housing units that allow for use by one or more families, or even the possibility of renting out one, having two separate entrances. The play of volumes desired and created by the Architects gives the house special natural light and a fantastic view in all its rooms. The entrance on the first floor leads to a mezzanine area with two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a small study/relaxation area. Outside, a garden area with a barbecue dining area. A convenient internal staircase leads to the spacious living area where the windows are the main feature! But that's not all... a few steps and you're on the outdoor terrace where you can dine or sip an aperitif with a 360-degree lake view! The floor is completed by a service bathroom and a kitchen. On the lower floor (at garden level), there's another small gem, consisting of a small apartment with a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom with a breathtaking view. The external garden is terraced on multiple levels.

Location: Massino Visconti, Piedmont

This small town is located on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore in a hilly position overlooking the lush banks of the lake. Tranquility and nature are the features that distinguish the town of Massino Visconti (above Lesa), located a few kilometers from the renowned city of Arona. An important tourist center, well connected to the main highways, close to Malpensa and 60 km from Milan, Arona lies on the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore. A town with a rich history, Arona was long in the hands of the wealthy and powerful Borromeo family: Saint Charles Borromeo was indeed born here, in the castle, in 1538. The town is home to many churches and squares, among which the church of SS. Martyrs and the Collegiate Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary are certainly worth mentioning. The first houses the remains of the town's patrons and preserves, above the main altar, 15th-century frescoes of the Leonardesque school, while the second, a parish church, originally featured a Gothic style, which has gradually faded due to numerous renovations. Moving to the medieval heart of the town, we discover Piazza del Popolo, with its houses full of ancient charm and the pier, on which stands a small lighthouse, a favorite spot for tourists. However, the most important and fascinating monument in Arona is undoubtedly the statue of St. Charles Borromeo, which, with a height of about 35 meters, ranks second among the tallest statues in the world, preceded only by the Statue of Liberty. Arona also offers various activities for tourists: a historic center full of shops and restaurants, a beautiful lakeside promenade for walking, and beaches and small shores where one can spend the warm summer days. In this wonderful historical and natural setting, you can find houses for sale on Lake Maggiore.
