The municipal district covers the eastern part of Munich. To the west it borders Berg am Laim and Bogenhausen, to the south Ramersdorf-Perlach, to the north Johanneskirchen, and to the east several independent municipalities in the Munich District. All shopping facilities for daily needs, as well as banks, doctors, and pharmacies, are within walking distance. The former BUGA Park with its bathing lake invites you to relax. Kindergartens, primary school, lower secondary school, (private) intermediate secondary school, grammar school, sports and many leisure options, as well as various green spaces, are available in the immediate vicinity. The nearest bus stop, from which you can reach the subway, is about a 2-minute walk away. The subway ride to downtown Munich takes about 10 minutes. The district is connected to the Mittlerer Ring and the A99 via Wasserburger Landstrasse and Kreillerstrasse. The A94 has three interchanges within the district. Numerous main roads provide access to the neighborhoods and lead to the adjacent Munich districts and to municipalities in the Munich District. Via the A94 you can reach the Munich motorway ring road and also quickly the airport (47 km).
