Rafina is located on the coasts of Eastern Attica and is the second-largest port in the region after Piraeus, with significant traffic to the Cyclades. In recent years, Rafina has experienced significant growth and essentially functions as a suburb of Athens, thanks to the Attiki Odos highway that improved access from the city center as it connects with Marathon Avenue in nearby Pikermi. It is approximately 25 kilometers from Athens. The main road of Eastern Attica, Marathon Avenue, crosses it to the west, while Am.
